The last six weeks gave us something we don’t usually get in this business, time. Real time. We slowed down enough to actually breathe, to let our nervous systems settle, to sit across from each other without a rush. We had long conversations, quiet mornings with coffee that didn’t go cold in two minutes, dinners that weren’t eaten standing up. We got to be a husband & wife again, a family again, not just people running a restaurant. We spent real, uninterrupted time with the people we love. Even got to sit in other restaurants for once and just enjoy being guests. That felt strange and really, really good. Our crew got that time too. Time with their families, their people, their lives outside of work. And that matters to us more than anything. But even while we were resting, we found ourselves talking about all of you. Like family. Because that’s what you’ve become over the years. We’ve watched your kids grow up, head off to college, even get married. And believe me it makes US feel old ! Almost 19 years of faces, stories, traditions, it’s not something we take lightly. So thank you. For giving us the space to rest. For coming back year after year. For riding this journey with us. Tomorrow, we’re back.
And we’re ready! Doors open, Let’s do it all over again!
